Susan Folwell is known for her use of contemporary and creative imagery on her pottery. This jar is coil-built and stone-polished on the rim. The shape of the jar spirals around and the exterior is painted with a series of swirling designs. The inside of the rim is painted with circles. Of course, it is the inside of the jar that is so exceptional and gives the jar it’s name, “Princess Power”. There is a Pueblo Warrior with her lasso painted in the center. Above her is the wording “Pottery Princess”. To the side is “Power”. Below her are eight pieces of painted pottery. There is a lot of detail, and a lot of humor in this jar! It is signed, “Susan Folwell”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
