BJ Frauga was known for her classic style of Jemez pottery. This jar jas a round shoulder and a short neck. The jar is carved with a star design into the clay. Inside the star pattern, it is painted with various clay slips to create a complex corn design. The remainder is polished a deep red coloration. The jar is signed on the bottom, “B. J. Fragua”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
