Glendora Fragua is known for her polished and intricately incised pottery. This seedpot is a bit larger than her typical seedpot. It is coil-built, thin-walled, and fully painted a tan. The piece is etched with a large lizard on one side and cloud beings on the opposite side. The lizard is highlighted with red, black, and white clay and inset with three pieces of coral. The designs are accented with additional painted imagery. The piece is signed on the bottom with a corn stalk, Glendora’s hallmark.

Glendora Fragua is known for her polished and intricately incised pottery. This jar is coil-built, thin-walled, and fully polished a dark brown. The piece has a fluted rim. The jar is etched with two Corn Maidens. They are surrounded by corn plants and flowers. The etched designs are highlighted with additional clay slips for the various colors. The jar is signed on the bottom with a corn stalk, Glendora’s hallmark.

Glendora Fragua is a daughter of Juanita Fragua and the sister of BJ Fragua and sculptor Cliff Fragua. She has won numerous awards for her pottery and has been featured in a variety of books on contemporary innovative potters. She signs her pottery with a Corn Stalk hallmark.
