3.5"w x 3.25"h

$ 750.00

Gloria Garcia is known for her miniature pottery.  She is a daughter of Petra Gutierrez and the sister of Lois Gutierrez, Minnie Vigil, and Thelma Talachy.  This bowl is a larger piece of her pottery. The piece is fully polished and then etched around the shoulder.  The bowl has four sections of design. There are Pueblo-style Deer, buffalo, antelope, and elk.  Two of the sections have rainbows, while the other two have cloud designs.  There is a tightly etched plant design around the rim of the bowl. The polishing is exceptional with a high glossy surface.  This piece is signed on the bottom with her Tewa name “GoldenRod”.  There is a second place ribbon from the 2007 Santa Fe Indian Market with judges Robert Nichols, Charles King, and Jody Folwell.  It’s always exciting to see a piece I judged in the past come back into the gallery.
