This is a large bowl by Gloria Garcia.  It is fully polished red and then incised with design.  There is a whole herd of five realistic antelope and they are highlighted with a white clay slip.  As the bowl is turned there are a group of four groundhogs.  In the sky there is a deeply carved band that is highlighted with white and blue clay slips.  Around the rim is an incised feather design.  It is a fully designed and complicated piece. The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Golden Rod”, which is Gloria’s name in Tewa.
