Virginia Garcia is a sister of noted potters Tina Garcia and Greg Garcia. While she no longer makes pottery, much like her siblings, she was known for her traditional forms and creative firings. This large water jar has a double shoulder and a turned-out rim. The there are two bear paws impressed into the clay on the neck. The entire surface is fully polished even the inside of the neck! The jar was traditionally fired outdoors a strong red coloration. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, ‘Virginia Garcia”.
