.This plate by John Gonzales is from 1998. John was well known for his plates and their intricately etched designs. This plate is matte black on the rim. The center has an etched avanyu across the plate. Above and below are flower petals. There is an inset piece of turquoise for the eye of the avanyu and shell and turquoise hei-shi beads. The plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the back, “John Gonzales”.

It is surrounded by a cloud motif. The edge and back are red. There is a single inset band of turquoise hei-shi beads around the edge. The plate is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the back, “John Gonzales”.
