Holt, Lisa & Harlan Reano – 8″ Tall Flame Jar with Flower Medallions (2025)

8"w x 9.5"h $3200 ON HOLD

This is a striking “flame” jar by Lisa Holt and Harlan Reano.  They make an amazing team, working to create innovative pottery using traditional techniques.  Lisa makes the pottery and it was painted by Harlan.  This jar has a round body with the extending “flames”  on each side.  The neck of the jar has wild spinach and flower motifs. The body of the jar has two large medallions, each with a flower design. The designs extend outward from the central medallion. The jar is painted with acrylic for the dramatic coloration.  Note how the design matches and accentuates the shape of the jar!  It is exciting to see a piece with this amount of dynamic artistry.  It is signed on the bottom, “Lisa Holt & Harlan Reano ’25”.   Interestingly, I judged their pottery the first year they entered at Santa Fe Indian Market and it has been exciting to watch them evolve in shapes and designs over the years.
