Iule, Pat – Rectangular seedpot with Mimbres Fish and Two Lizards

This is an unusual seedpot by Pat Iule (b. 1956). She began making pottery in 1984 and is a daughter of Robert and Pauline Iule. This seedpot is coil-built and painted with bee-weed (black) and various clay colors. It is rectangular in shape with a Mimbres fish on top surrounded by waves. There are two Mimbres lizards painted on the bottom. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “P. Iule”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
