Nona Naha was a Tewa-Hopi of the Corn Clan who began making pottery in 1988. She was the daughter of Sylvan and Edith Nash and the wife of Terry Naha. She learned to make pottery from Helen Naha and her daughters, Sylvia and Rainy Naha. This bowl is thin-walled in her signature style It almost feels as if it is made of paper! The piece is fully polished, and the top is painted with a spiraling sun design. There is red clay used to create the rays of the sun. The remainder is tightly painted with thin lines! The bowl was traditionally fired. It is signed on the bottom, “Nona Naha”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
