Nona Naha was a Tewa-Hopi of the Corn Clan who began making pottery in 1988. She was the daughter of Sylvan and Edith Nash and the wife of Terry Naha. She learned to make pottery from Helen Naha and her daughters, Sylvia and Rainy Naha. This seedpot is thin-walled in her signature style It almost feels as if it is made of paper! The piece is fully polished, and the top is painted with an eternity band around the edge. There is a butterfly in the center. The wings are painted with a variety of Hopi-Tewa designs from rain to corn. The butterfly is highlighted with red clay. The seedpot was traditionally fired. It is signed on the bottom, “Nona Naha”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.

Nona Naha was a Tewa-Hopi of the Corn Clan who began making pottery in 1988. She was the daughter of Sylvan and Edith Nash and the wife of Terry Naha. She learned to make pottery from Helen Naha and her daughters Sylvia and Rainy Naha. This seedpot is thin-walled in her signature style It almost feels as if it is made of paper! The piece is fully polished and the top is painted with an eternity band around the edge. There is a stylized hummingbird on the top with geometric designs. Check out the very tiny checkerboard and thin lines! The flower and bird are both highlighted with red clay. The seedpot was traditionally fired. It is signed on the bottom, “Nona Naha”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
