Thomas Natseway is one of the most renowned miniaturists in Pueblo pottery. Rarely does he make a piece that is over 1″ tall or wide! This miniature is a wedding vase and is painted with bee-weed (black) and a dark red clay. There are intricately painted Sikyatki-style birds on each side. Even the top of the handle is painted! Definitely a complex design for the size. It is signed on the bottom, “Thomas Nasteway”.
