$ 1,750.00

Fawn Garcia Navasie (b. 1959) is also known as “Little Fawn”.  She is a daughter of Eunice “Fawn” Navasie and a sister of Dawn and Dolly Navasie.  This large jar is coil-built and stone-polished. The jar has a round shoulder and a short neck.  It is painted with bee-weed (black) and highlighted with red areas.  The design above the shoulder is a classic squash plant pattern with the squash blossoms and plant tendrils. There are even little dragonflies.  Below the shoulder are cloud and water designs.   The jar was traditionally fired so there are blushes on the surface.  It is signed on the bottom, “Fawn” with a deer track.  This is how she signed her pieces after her mother, Eunice “Fawn” Navasie (1920-1992) passed away.
