5.5"w x 4.75"h
$ 300.00
Glen Nipshank (Cree) is known for the organic shapes of his pottery. This jar is coil-built and thin-walled. It is slipped with green clay that is then stone polished to a high shine. There are stylized hummingbirds etched into the clay, encircling the jar. The inside rim is slipped with red clay and note the use of the additional yellow clay on the birds. The coloration from the firing is striking. The jar is signed “Glen Nipshank”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
