Once Known – Acoma Double Lobe Canteen with Handles (1940s)

7.5" long x 4.5"h

$ 600.00

This is an unusual double lobe canteen from Acoma Pueblo in the 1940s.  The piece is coil-built and a difficult shape to create. Each of the two lobes is painted with rain and cloud designs.  There are handles that are painted red, as is the spout.  It is charming and unusual shape.  The piece is not signed, but says, “Acoma, N. Mex”.  It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
