Panana, Ruby – 15″ Tall Long Neck Jar with Antelope, Birds, and Rainbows

Ruby Panana began making pottery in 1983. She is a granddaughter of Joe and Ascenicona Galvan Pino and a daughter of Seferina Bell. Her sisters Eleanor Griego and Reyes Pino are also potters. This is a massive jar with a round shoulder and elonagated neck. The neck of the jar has four hummingbirds. The body of the jar has an antelope on each sides. They are separated by large Zia birds under a double rainbow. The rainbows are polished red. Next to the birds are polished tan clouds. It is a large and intricately painted jar. All the colors are from natural clay slips. It is signed on the bottom, “Ruby Panana”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
