Patricio, Felisha – 9.5″ Tall Water Jar with Clouds and Birds
$ 1,200.00
Felisha Patricio (b. 1997) is a daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio. This jar is coil built from native clay and painted with bee-weed and clay slips. The jar has a complicated “old style” design. There are Acoma birds with their heads painted red. They are swirling out of the clouds which are oval. The heads of each bird meet up with another clouds. It is a way for the imagery to create a sense of motion and movement, of birds flying through the clouds! The bold designs are accented with her fine-line additions. It is a striking design that emphasizes the shape of the jar. The base of the jar is also slipped in red clay. It is signed, “F. Patricio”.
