Patricio, Felisha – 9″ Tall Water Jar with Rain Birds

Felisha Patricio (b. 1997) is a daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio.  This jar is coil built from native clay and painted with bee-weed and clay slips. The jar has four sets of rainbirds painted on the shoulder.  Below them are cloud and rain designs and there are additional rain designs at the neck of the jar.  The bold designs are accented with her fine-line additions. It is a striking design that emphasizes the shape of the jar.  The base of the jar is also slipped in red clay.  It is signed, “F. Patricio”.
