Erlinda Pino (b. 1961) began making pottery in the 1990s.  This lare jar is coil-built, painted with native clay slips, and traditionally fired.  The jar has Zia birds on each side under a polished rainbow.  Separating them are large sun and cloud designs.  It is a creative and unusual design for Zia pottery.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Erlinda Pino”.  The jar is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
