Bernadette Poleahla is a granddaughter of noted potter Frieda Poleahla. This bowl is coil-built and made from native clay. The bowl has a series of geometric rain designs around the rim. The base has a fine-line rain pattern. It is painted with bee-weed (black) and clay slips, then traditionally fired. The bowl is signed, “B. Pohleahla”. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
