4.25"w x 4"h
$ 400.00
Cliff Roller is a son of noted potter Toni Roller. Each piece is coil built, carved, stone polished, and traditionally fired. This jar is carved with a series of interlocking cloud designs. They encircle the entire piece, which is then fully polished and fired a deep black. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Cliff Roller”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. While these days Cliff makes very little pottery, each piece remains a statement to his skill as a potter!

Cliff Roller learned to make pottery from his mother, Toni Roller, and he is also a grandson of the noted potter, Margaret Tafoya (1904-2001). His pottery is traditional in form and design with crisply carved lines and a beautiful even stone polished surface. While Cliff makes very little pottery these days, it is great to see the quality of work that he has created in the clay! He has won numerous awards at Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Indian Fair for his pottery.
