Helen Shupla was famous for her carved pottery as well as her exceptional melon jars. This bowl is an early piece of her pottery. It is carved with a Sun Face on each side. They are separated by cloud designs. The surface is stone polished, and the bowl is fired a deep black. It is signed on the bottom, “Helen Shupla.” It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
