Lucinda Slick creates traditional Navajo pottery. This wedding vase is coil-built using native clay. It has a round body and elongated spouts. The handle is braided or twisted. There are ears of corn in their husks in relief on each side. They extend into incised corn plants that extend up the neck. The vase was traditionally fired to create the blushes on the surface and then covered at the end with pinon pitch. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “LS”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
