This bowl by Ray Tafoya is from 1981. It is an earlier piece of his pottery. The piece is fully polished, carved, and etched. The bowl has both matte and polished surfaces. There clouds extending down from the rim. There is a single flute player and three feathers etched into the clay. The piece was fired black and it was two-toned sienna on the rim. It is an exceptional early piece in terms of design. The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark which is a White Mountain (his name in Tewa).
