This is an oval seedpot by Ray Tafoya. It is fully polished and oval in shape. It has a Mimbres bear on one half of the piece. The eye of the bear is the hole for the seedpot. It is surrounded by feathers and geometric designs. It is highlighted with additional yellow and blue clay slips. The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair. It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark that means “White Mountain” in Tewa.
