Tafoya, Sarah Ayla – 9″ Tall Wedding Vase with Braided Handle

Sarah Ayla Tafoya is a daughter of noted potters Judy and Lincoln Tafoya.  She began making pottery when she was five years old. She has received many awards in the ‘Youth Division’ as a young artist.  The wedding vase is coil-built and stone polished.  The piece has a sharp shoulder and the handle is two briaded pieces of clay, then were then also stone polished!  The wedding vase was traditionally fired black.  It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Sarah Ayla Tafoya”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
