Stella Teller (b. 1929) is one of the great names in contemporary Isleta Pueblo pottery. This is one of her classic storyteller figures. It is the blue-gray coloration for which she is most famous. This piece is a Navajo woman holding two children. The dress and children are all polished white. The piece is highlighted with gray clay, along with a tan coloration. She is wearing a turquoise hei-shi necklace. The figure is signed on the bottom, “Stella Teller”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
