Tso, Jr., Damon – “Dragonflies above Water” Jar, Ribbon
$ 200.00
Damon Tso, Jr., is a self-taught potter. He began making pottery in 2003 and each piece is coil-built and made from clay that he sources from near his home in Buffalo Springs, New Mexico. This jar has a high shoulder and a sloping side. There are four rows of ribs carved into the clay, representing a river. On top of the ribs are four dragonflies in relief. The jar was traditionally fired and then covered with pinon-pitch after the firing. The jar is VERY thin-walled and has a striking coloration from the firing. It is signed, “Damon Tso, Jr.” on the bottom. There is a Honorable Mention ribbon from the 2025 Heritage Festival.
