Yazzie, Andraya Manygoats – Pitcher with Corn Design

3.75"w x 3.5"h

$ 90.00

AAndraya Manygoats Yazzie is a daughter of Betty Manygoats.  This jar has a sharp shoulder and spout.  There is an ear of corn on each side in relief.  The corn is a symbol of prosperity.  The jar was traditionally fired and there are some beautiful color variations from the heat of the fire!  After the vase is fired, it is covered in pinon pitch in the manner of traditional Navajo pottery.  The piece is signed on the bottom in the clay, “AY”.  She continues her mother’s legacy in clay!
