Marcella Yepa (b. 1964) is known for her carved and polished pottery. She is a cousin of Emma Yepa and learned to make pottery from her aunt, Alvina Yepa. This seedpot is made from native clay and coil built. It is carved with a cloud design. The sections alternate between micaceous and polished surfaces. The visual contrast of the clay surfaces is striking. It is signed on the bottom.
