2"w x 1.75"h

$ 450.00

Emily Tafoya was the wife of noted potter Ray Tafoya and is the mother of Jennifer Tafoya.  Each piece is coil-built, stone-polished, traditionally outdoor-fired, and then etched with designs.  This seed jar is round in shape with a small neck.  The entire piece is fully polished and fired black.  There are two hummingbirds and flowers etched into the clay.  They are surrounded by cloud, rain, and water designs.  The entire piece is fully designed and then highlighted with additional clay slips for more coloration.  It is signed on the bottom, Emily Tafoya.
