Chitto, Randall – Turtle “Buffalo Dancer”

3"w x 4.5"h

$ 650.00

Randall (Randy) Chitto (Choctaw) studied pottery beginning in 1980 at The Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe under the instruction of Otellie Loloma.  He created his distinctive style of storyteller and figurative pottery.  This is one of his classic turtle figures. The turtle is fired black.  It is dressed up like a Buffalo Dancer and is holding a lance and feather bundle.  There is great detail on the back of the Buffalo headdress.  Randy creates all the leather and wood accessories for his pieces. It is a creative and charming piece!  It is signed on the bottom.  We are pleased to now represent Randy Chitto’s figurative pottery in both Scottsdale and Santa Fe!
