Ramos, Christina – “Saint Bernice – Spreader of Gossip” (Acrylic, Gold Leaf on Board)

Christina Ramos is a nationally recognized artist specializing in figurative realism.  This painting is part of her series where she re-imagines animals into saints, with folding wooden panels.  They are painted with acrylic and gold leaf.  This piece is entitled, “Saint Bernice – Spreader of Gossip“. The center panel has a realistic raven with a southwest landscape in the background. There is a raven painted on each side panel along with prickly pear cactus.  When closed, there is a stylized raven on the front.

Christina was recently named an “Artist to Watch by Southwest Art Magazine, and as one of America’s Great Painters by American Galleries.  Her work has been shown throughout the United States and has been honored with awards from the Portrait Society of America, the Society of Acrylic and Casein Painters, the National Acrylic and Oil Painters Society, the International Society of Acrylic Painters, Southwest Art Magazine, and many more.
