Frances Torivio was a sister of Lolita Concho and the mother of Lilly Salvador and Wanda Aragon. She taught both her daughter and Edna Chino to make pottery. She is one of the major Acoma matriarchs. She is known for her thin walled pottery and traditional firing techniques.
