Chitto, Randall – 8″ Tall Clay “Hummingbird and Bear”

5"w x 8"h

$ 1,100.00

Randall (Randy) Chitto (Choctaw) studied pottery beginning in 1980 at The Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe under the instruction of Otellie Loloma.  He created his distinctive style of storyteller and figurative pottery.  This is one of his classic clay bears.  This one is holding a bowl of Turquoise in his south paw, and a hummingbird hovers above his right paw.  Randy uses real turquoise in the bowl!  There is a small medicine pouch slung around his shoulder.  It is a charming piece that makes you smile!  The clay bear was fired black.  It is signed on the bottom.  We are pleased to now represent Randy Chitto’s figurative pottery in both Scottsdale and Santa Fe!
