$ 450.00

Dennis Daubs (b. 1960) is known for his intricately incised pottery.  He is both Jemez and San Ildefonso.   His mother is Gerry Gachupin, sister Patricia Daubs, and brother was Steve Daubs.  Each piece is coil-built, stone-polished, and the imagery is etched into the surface of the clay.  This is one of the lager pieces we have seen of his work.  The entire piece is fully polished red.  The is a large sun design etched on one side.  It is surrounded by a feather pattern.  The back half of the jar has an additional feather pattern and a cloud design. The designs are highlighted with additional white and black clay slips.  It is signed, “Dennis Daubs”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
