Namingha, Jocelyn Quam – Jar with Eagle Feathers and Rising Sun
5"w x 4.25"h
$ 550.00
Jocelyn Quam Namingha is the wife of noted potter Les Namingha. This jar is coil-built, stone polished, and painted with bee-weed (black). The jar is thin-walled and has a round shoulder and short neck. The piece is painted on the shoulder with alternating eagle feathers and a rising sun design. It is very tightly painted and a design that seems both modern and traditional. It is signed on the bottom, “Jocelyn Quam Namingha”. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
