Kevin Naranjo is known for his realistic etched pottery. This jar has a high shoulder and short neck. It is entitled “Puma and Puye” for the mountain lion sitting on a tree in front of Puye, the ancestral Santa Clara Puebloan village. The rim of the jar has etched feathers. The scene with the puma is highly detailed with plants, rocks, and a pueblo scene. It is a very detailed piece! It was fired black, and then two-toned sienna on the rim. It is signed, “Kevin Naranjo”.

Kevin Naranjo is a son of noted potter Geri Naranjo and a brother of Monica Romero. He is known for the realism of his etched pottery and over the years has won numerous awards for his pottery at Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum Market.
