This seedpot by Robert Patricio utilizes classic Acoma fine-line designs.  Robert is known for his classic forms and use of both traditional and pre-historic imagery.  This piece is coil-built from native clay and thin-walled. It has a classic round shape. The top is a flower design that extends outward. The sides have fine-line designs along with star patterns.  It is a complex and creative design. It is exceptional, and the black and white with the two different colors of red clya give the jar a very modern appearance.  Robert is one of the leading traditional Acoma potters working today, evidenced by his stunning forms and complementary designs.  The seedpot is signed on the bottom, “R. M. Patricio”.
