Tobie Mae (b. 2005) is a 20-year-old daughter of noted potter Robert Patricio. This jar is coil-built from native clay and thin-walled. It has a classic Acoma water jar shape and it is painted with bee-weed. The design has large swirling rain designs. They are separated by small clouds and plant patterns. It is a creative use of a traditional design. The jar is signed, “T.M. Patricio”. It is exciting to see such excellent work by young Acoma potters!
