Lucho Soler (Peruvian), has been a professor at the famous Institute of American Indian Art School in Santa Fe, NM. In his native Peru, he has taught countless workshops and given classes to young aspiring artists, helping them learn about their cultural heritage and letting them find expression in creating something beautiful.  Each piece is coil-built, stone-polished, and the colors are all from clya and minerals mixed as slips.  This jar is coil-built and polished a purple coloration.  The neck of the jar has an interlocking design in gold lusture used to paint the design, and it is fired into the clay.  The coloration is striking!   It is signed on the bottom.
