Kathleen Wall is a daughter of Fannie Loretto and granddaughter of Cari Loretto. She learned to make pottery from her mother and made her first storyteller when she was eight years old.  In addition, she studied at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe.  She has also been awarded the New Mexico Governor’s Award for the Arts (2021) and has been a MIAC Native Treasures Living Treasure (2020).  This koshari clown is coil-built. It is in a standing position and holding a piece of watermelon.  The koshari is painted green and brown. In front of the figure are two bowls that are painted on the outside. Each has clay “slices” of watermlon”.  It is a classic and striking figure!  There are a total of ten pieces.  There are corn husks in the figure’s headdress.  It is signed, “Kathleen Wall”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
