This one of the few plates which Mela Youngblood made during her years as a potter.  It is perfectly polished and has been carved with a series of eagle feathers which emanate from the center.  The entire piece is highly polished with her typical exceptional shine.  There are two photos of the plate above, one to show the design and the other the polish.  The back of the piece is also fully polished. It is signed in the clay on the back and is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
