This jar is one from a recently discovered clay area near the Pueblo. The jar is not slipped but simply polished with water to create the shine on the surface. The leaves the piece the natural color of the clay. This coloration is unique with a gold/green tint to the piece after it is fired. This jar a complex pattern with square step clouds around the neck and cloud swirls near the shoulder. It is a striking shape with the low shoulder, which perfectly shows off the design! It is a small but very elegant jar!
