Sharon Naranjo Garcia (b. 1951) is a granddaughter of Christina Naranjo.  She learned to make pottery from her grandmother and is known for her traditional style of pottery. This water jar has a graceful form with a sharp shoulder, which slightly indents before rising to the neck.  The jar has two bear paws impressed into the clay before it was polished.  The entire piece is fully polished and fired a deep black coloration. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, ‘Sharon Naranjo-Garica”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
