Birdell Bourdon (b. 1957) is a daughter of Marie Sisneros.  She learned to make pottery from her mother.  She has been making pottery since she was ten years old.  This bowl is coil built and stone polished.  It has a black-on-black painted plant design that encircles the bowl.  The piece is very highly polished.  The bowl is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Birdell”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
