Emma Lewis was a daughter of noted potter Lucy M. Lewis.  This is a miniature open bowl is designed in the form of Mimbres pottery from the 1100s.  The interior is painted with bee-weed (black) and there is a star pattern.  The bowl is signed on the bottom, “Emma Lewis”.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.
