2"w x 3.5"h

$ 900.00

Wallace Nez is known for his intricately etched pottery.  He began to make pottery when he was 12 years old.  He won first place ribbons at the Santa Fe Indian Market in 1999, 2000, and 2001 and Best of Division at the Museum of Northern Arizona Market Show in 1999.  This tall seed jar is extraordinary in its detail.  On the top, there are tightly etched feathers.  Around the side are four medallions, each with a different butterfly.  Near the base are five more butterflies in black-and-white. The base is black.  The remainder of the jar is fully etched with very intricate rows of designs.  The piece has incredible detail and precision!  It seems to be one of those pieces that the more you look, the more detail and design you see!   The piece is signed on the bottom “Wallace Nez”.  It is from 2006.  It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair.
