Red Starr (Sioux) was married to Santa Clara potter Harriet Tafoya and learned to make Santa Clara pottery. This bowl has a round shape and it is fully polished red. There is an etched bear and cub on one side. The opposite side has two tiny bear paws, each inset with a piece of turquoise. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration, or repair. It is signed on the bottom in the clay, “Red Starr”.
