This miniature seedpot by Ray Tafoya is fully polished and is tall in shape.  It is fully polished with his iconic green coloration and then the designs are etched into the clay. The design is a Pueblo potter holding a jar with a bear paw etched into the side and a jar with a feather pattern at her feet.  The remainder are geometric clouds and rain patterns.  The designs are etched into the clay and highlighted with additional colors of clay slips.  All the different colors are derived from natural clay slips.  The seedpot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, restoration or repair.  It is signed on the bottom with his hallmark which means “White Mountain” in Tewa.
